Lights! Camera! Action! Add Professional Video to Your Website

Are you designing a new website? Are there things that you want to achieve with your latest design but simply don’t have the time or perhaps the skills yet to make it a reality? We’re all looking for ways to save time to free us up to do the things we really want to do.

Well Envato may be here to the rescue. Within their large portfolio of projects is a website aimed at providing people with pre-made, editable video graphics.

A few months ago we posted an article about how online video within your website can really help boost page view times and are a fantastic way of getting large amounts of information across without cluttering your webpage.

The only problem is that getting a video about your company professionally made can easily cost a few thousand pounds, on top of that it is often expensive to make alterations later down the line.

Fortunately the good folks at Envato have created Videohive where you will find royalty free video files for everything from stock footage, motion graphics, DVD menus and more.

With a large library of professionally made editable videos you are bound to find what you’re looking for.  The videos range in price with some of the better ones costing around £15. To edit the video file you will need access to Adobe After Effects. After Effects is not cheap software but it is widely regarded as the best video editing product on the market. For a new copy you are looking at around £650 so if you don’t plan on using the software for anything else after creating your website video then I would advise approaching friends/family to see if anyone you know already owns a copy.

Below is an example of the type of customisable project files available.
