The 32nd Business Startup Show
Did you make it down to Kensington Olympia on Thursday or Friday 27th and 28th November for the 32nd Business Startup Show? Free to attend, the event hosted over 100 seminars and 150 exhibitors, plus relevant workshops and networking opportunities for anyone who’s looking to start, improve or expand their business.
The Business Startup Show was packed from the moment it opened on Thursday, the day we attended. We were sharing stand 20 with Nominet, the world leading internet registry company who work closely with national and international organisations to make the internet a better and more secure place. We saw and spoke with hundreds of people, helping them with general hosting and website advice and in particular speaking with them about the new .uk domain.
In showing our support for the .uk domain, we were there to help educate attendees about the benefits that can be gained from them. For those who already owned a .co.uk but were considering the .uk version we explained their rights to them and how to secure the domain. We helped others who were looking for a brand new online identity to see if their chosen domain was available using our domain checker.
There are lots of benefits to the .uk domains…
- Tell customers you’re in the UK
- Target everyone who wants to buy British
- Enhance and protect your brand name
- Get a short address that people will remember
Find out more information about the .uk domain from Fasthosts on our previous .uk blog post, domains are just £5.99pa.
We also ran a competition at the show. Attendees had to stop by our stand and share their details with us to be in the running for a Moto 360 smartwatch and a night at the Shard for two! We’ll be contacting the winners tomorrow! So if you entered, Good Luck!
The Business Startup Show is held twice annually, once in the summer and once in the winter months, if you think you would have liked to attend and found it useful, keep an eye out for the 2015 shows!
