Writing guest articles for other blogs is a fantastic way to build quality inbound links to your site. In a previous post we discussed the importance of inbound links and if you are not familiar with this term then I advise checking out that article first.

Although guest blogging is often done for free there are many key benefits to offering your content to other blogs.

• It is a natural way to build links that search engines love
• You can choose where the links go and for what anchor text
• Free publicity to a new audience
• Referred traffic through the links within your article
• Helps you to establish yourself as an expert in your industry

Most blogs will request that your guest article is completely unique and not published anywhere else, including on your own website. There are many blogs out there asking for guest posts, I would advise giving your best guest content to the blog with the highest Page Rank to ensure the highest value on the inbound links.
