Philippines Typhoon Haiyan Appeal
The recent onslaught of destruction in the Philippines encompassing the earthquakes a few weeks ago and now the more recent Typhoon Haiyan, has left our company shocked by the carnage all too often wreaked by nature. Our support centre based in Cebu in the Philippines has been rocked to its core and Fasthosts are doing everything we can to support them at this time.
Since these natural disasters struck, over 15 of our colleagues’ families have been impacted, along with the thousands of other Filipinos affected by the typhoon. Throughout the immediate threats we have worked closely with them, making sure that shifts were covered by UK staff, providing beds and food to those in need and putting health and safety measures in place to look after their immediate wellbeing.
In the aftermath of these disasters we are continuing to support in any way we can. We are raising money internally and trying to promote a wider awareness of the DEC Philippines Typhoon Appeal in the hope that people will spare anything they can to support all people affected by this terrifying ordeal.
Millions of people have had their lives torn apart. They need food, shelter and clean water. Can you help?
