Google Doodle Celebrates Jules Verne’s Birthday
You may have noticed that today’s Google homepage has been taken over with an interactive doodle that allows you to navigate through underwater scenes whilst through a submarine-like view. It is in honour of author Jules Verne’s 183rd birthday whom many people will know from novels such as the brilliant Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and the fantastic Around The World In Eighty Days.
“Verne wrote about space, air, and underwater travel before air travel and practical submarines were invented, and before practical means of space travel had been devised.
