Will Pen.io run out of ink?

At Fasthosts we are often asked by our customers – What is the quickest and easiest way I can publish content online? There are many solutions now available from expensive downloadable software to free online clients. In recent months we’ve posted articles on some of the options such as Adobe Muse and Microsoft WebMatrix. This blog was created using WordPress, one of the most popular CMS’s in the world.

But the way we consume and share content is fundamentally changing due to the popularity of Facebook and Twitter. People want to share information quickly, and they can, however Anthony Feint, creator of Pen.io, believes there is a gap in the market for a service that lets people create and publish content as quickly as they want to share it.

The only problem with a service such as Twitter is that archiving your content is not really possible. People still want a place to put their content but don’t want to design and build a fully functioning blog or website. This is where Pen.io hopes to fit in.

Pen.io describe themselves as “a super fast way to publish content online” and they are not kidding. We tried creating a page earlier and it took less than 60 seconds. The service they provide is not about designing a beautifully stylish website it is simply giving people the quickest and easiest way to put content online. Content such as essays, upcoming events, photos, videos, recipes, ideas and more can be added with ease.

Judging by our first impressions we think that there is definitely a gap in the market for a service such as Pen.io and Feint’s execution of his vision for a “super fast way to publish content” is an exciting attempt.

So will Pen.io run out of ink? We don’t think so but why not try it out for yourself and leave us a comment below about your experience.
