10 Stunning Web Designs

10 Stunning Web Designs for your Inspiration

If you’re in the process of designing a new website then it can be really helpful to get an understanding of what other people are designing. Researching the different techniques, features, functions, colour schemes, and fonts being used by the best designers will hopefully help take your design to the next level.

We’ve picked out ten of the best from around the web:

Pacsun

Why we like it

The Pacsun website is a lot of fun to scroll around. Thanks to their use of parallax scrolling and interactive features the website captures your attention. We’re seeing a lot of websites move towards this style of design but it is often hard to find a good balance and not make things to difficult to navigate. Pacsun have succeeded in finding that balance.

Theory

Why we like it

With a great use of textures and icons the Theory website finds its way onto our list. The whole site is just one page but packed with plenty of content to attract new clients.

Blacknegative

Why we like it

Incredible still and motion images fill your screen in a minimalistic style. Very little text is displayed on the site and a simple sideways drag function takes you through the site. Everything about this site exudes elegance.

JP74

Why we like it

The square themed homepage layout features several types of content from case studies to Twitter links. The subtle colour scheme of different shades of grey and brightly contrasting orange works really well.

What If

Why we like it

Another great example of parallax scrolling, this time from Spanish design agency What If. The home screen is particularly cool, keep an eye out for the colour changes.

Skillshare

Why we like it

Skillshare has been around for a little while now, it’s a US based website where you can sign up to classes or choose to teach classes. With everything from creative arts to entrepreneurship, Skillshare is an online “school” where you can be both the student and teacher and learn all the skills they never taught you in your youth.

Adidas

Why we like it

This site from Adidas is a beautiful blend of new and vintage video footage presented in a stunning design. Created to showcase the history of the Adidas design and the current design jobs available at the business.

Supereight Studio

Why we like it

Supereight Studio’s have made the list because of the clean design and simplistic layout. It doesn’t feature the parallax scrolling shown in some of the other designs on this list but the site does give a similar effect thanks to the full width images that help break up the text content.

London Calling

Why we like it

This has been and continues to be a huge summer for London thanks to the Diamond Jubilee and 2012 Olympics. This interactive site allows you to explore the city and discover what’s going on.

Le Coq Sportif

Why we like it

Bradley Wiggins and the Sky team gave us a spectacular spectacle recently thanks to their Tour de France 2012 win and this site from the official equipment provider does justice to the incredible event.
