IP EXPO 2013
Thanks to everyone who made last weeks’ IP EXPO (16th– 17th October) a resounding success. The exhibition attracted a staggering 12,500 visitors from all over the UK and even some international attendees. Visitors to our stand joined us in thought provoking conversations sharing insight into their business practices and helping us to find out exactly what is important to our customers and share this with you.
A recurring theme across the two days was that one of the biggest hurdles facing SMBs and their use of evolving technology is overcoming the negativity attached to change and the efforts involved in making new technology an everyday part of the working culture.
Many of those who attended our stand said they found it difficult to justify the outlay and then budget for the on-going costs associated with any new technology. Our ’10 Steps to the Cloud’ whitepaper shows how the Cloud can help your business become more productive and to overcome obstacles that others within your business may raise.
In fact, when actual costs are compared between Cloud solutions and traditional on premise solutions, the Cloud performs more efficiently and has greater cost savings.
Other questions focused on our Exchange 2013 Email and how it could benefit SMBs. We offer help migrating your email to Fasthosts and then all customers are supported 24/7, at no additional charge. Taking advantage of hosted email not only provides you with support but reduces operational costs such as administration and maintenance, whilst we at Fasthosts take care of the day to day tasks and deliver your email services on our enterprise-grade infrastructure.
One of the greatest perks of hosted email is how easy it is to use and how the service can be tailored to you and your business. We offer two different sizes of mailboxes – 25GB and 50GB – from £4.99 and £9.99 respectively, ensuring you don’t need to worry about the size of attachments. It also re-defines remote working. Instead of having to get a colleague to arrange things on your behalf you can now reply to emails, schedule meetings and access all your contacts across all connected devices.
In an effort to understand people’s email habits to a greater degree we recently circulated a short survey. All individuals to complete the survey were automatically entered into a prize draw to win an iPhone 5 and we now have a winner. Congratulations to Dave Ruddle, your iPhone 5 is already on its way to you!
And a big thank you to all those who came along to the show and made it the success it was. If you have any more questions or you couldn’t attend the exhibition but would like to ask about any of our services, please get in touch.
